I remembered your thread while reading my local newspaper

this morning. These three sentences come from the same

article:

"The reach of the People's Republic [of China] is extending ...

from the Far East to Africa to Latin-America, and its interest

in the Middle East is ...."

"These ... Middle Eastern states all have ...."

"Some Mideast states also ...."

(The two scholars who wrote this article belong to the Washington

Institute for Near East Policy.)
