go vs come

What would be the difference between "I'm coming there" amd "I'm going there."
Here is the situation. You are talking on the phone. The person you're talking to said that something happened. So you say,"I'm coming there"? Is OK?

If you are going to the present location of the person, I'm coming over or just I'm coming.

If to a future location of the person, I feel that both come and go are possible. I would probably use go.

If to the location of the incident (which is not the the location of the person) then only go.

The thing is that's exactly what the guy said to his girlfriend. "I'm coming there."
He was talking on the phone. It was about the present location.

because from the girlfriends point of view he will come and get her.

He might then say to someone in the same room "I'm going to get her" because he will go somewhere.

We normally chose the word the suits the location of the person we are talking to. Which was what was explaining.

No, it's correct.

If you will go to the place someone else is, you wuld say "I'm coming....."

Maybe I can help you, tell me where you are and I'll come and explain it to you.

But, I will tell my friend where I'm going. (my friend is here, where I am now)
