"Nobody in the office knows whose car that is outside. Do you know who it belongs to?
Hello Teachers,
I asked the question on the following link:
https://www.usingenglish.com/forum/...that-is-outside-Do-you-know-who-it-belongs-to
I was wondering how you can easily jump to judge and then get lost of "LIKE"
!! I am studying the grammar book " Communicate what you mean " by myself and unfortunately this book don't provide learners with answer key, so I have to post my questions here
I think:
Nobody in the office knows whose car that is outside. Do you know who it belongs to?!
whose car that is outside -> is noun clause?!
!?
who it belongs to ?! -> is noun clause?
that is outside -> adj clause?!
Am I right?!
