" Fish that live on the sea bottom benefit by being flat and hugging the contours."

Hugging the contours means:
a)swimming close to the seabed
b)hiding in the sand at the bottom of the sea
c)lying still on the sea bottom

which one is correct?

because the book say benefit by (hugging contours) which means hanging on the sea bottom using it's flat body to hide in it .

Sorry Ahmad Safwat, I am fairly sure the answer is A. Here is why:

In this case, "contours" refers to the shape of the sea bottom. "Hugging the contours" means staying very close to the sea bed, perhaps even touching it. It does not mean however, that the fish is actually in the sand. Instead, the fish moves its body with the curves of the sea bed as it swims.
