[Grammar] singular/plural verb for uncountable noun?

when we use the uncountable noun as the subject, like 'staff', do we use singular or plural form of the verb?

It's a matter of choice with "staff" (in BrE). If you see the staff as a unit, use the singular; if you see them as a group of individuals, use the plural.
