Smile what is the "where" supposed to mean??

"The one where Rachel finds out" is the title of the soap opera "Friends" the last episode of season 1.

How should I comprehend the "where"?

    Thank for your help!

where is a relative adverb here. Take the literal meaning.

'Where' mean 'in which' or 'during which' here.
'The episode in which Rachel finds out'.
'Where' is often used like this. It primarily (literally) signifies place, but it's used in other ways as well.

The one where Rachel finds out -- this is the title of an episode.

Please explain to me, Raymott, how you reached the conclusion that where in the title means in/during which. Thanks.

one could possibly - Could it not? refer to a room.
The room where Rachel finds out (sg).

by sheer intuition svartnik, and a native knowledge and experience of the language.
i'm assuming, with good cause of course, that it means "this is the episode in which rachel finds out ..." this is overwhelmingly the most likely meaning. If it turns out that it literally means 'where', then the poster has lost nothing, and has perhaps learnt something.

it could. You are quite right in pointing that out.

I still could not figure out the use of "where" here.
    May I further ask?

That means, where = in which = during which???
That means for stating the place?
But the title of an audio programme here?
Could you please give some example for some of those uses?

    In the episode...

I am chewing this PP and cannot decide which taste I feel more intensely. The spatial? Or the temporal?
Where? In the episode. In a virtual space.
    When? In the episode.

By the time I have learnt to use the English language, I will have been a wise philosopher.

'The episode in which Rachel finds out'.

No, the place it occurs is irrelevant.

'Where' is often used in contexts that do not refer to place.
(To understand this point it is necessary to understand that 'where' does primarily refer to place. I'll assume you know this).

A simile is where you say one thing is like another. 'Where' does not imply a place.
This is the episode where Rachel find out he's gay. A TV episode is not a place.
'Wuthering Heights' - isn't that where Heathcliffe falls in love with Catherine. A book is not a place.
Is envy where you're jealous of what another person has got? The meaning of a word is not a place.
'Where' is often used where you can't think of the right word. A linguistic context does not refer to a place.
