    Is the an use properly in the below sentence: I belive it "a" should be used

    'to approve an SAT shopping cart"

    I'd use an because the following letter is S and the pronunciation is "es", so it begins with a vowel.

    But only if you say each letter "Es Ay Tee".

    SAT as a word will take "a".
