    stress

    Teacher, please I want to know how could I put stress when I pronounce a sentence or a paragraph; not just a word.

    Maybe you're referring to intonation. This is notoriously difficult to write, since there is no one accepted system for it, and it's almost impossible to type. Also, it depends entirely on the context. But here's one example. You'd normally use a pencil/pen, and draw a line through the sentence where your voice goes up and down in pitch. With typing you can only easily distinguish two pitches.

    Ö._.............. __________.............. . ._
    A/ bi\cycle is/ much cheap\er than a/ca\r.

    It's especially difficult when the editor reformats your post!
