    We use this expression to say that something is useless. Here are some examples:

    There's no use in trying to continue. We're finished, so, please, don't call me anymore.

    There's no use in trying to jump-start this car. The battery is completely dead. Jump-starting won't work.

    It's no use trying to talk to her. She'd rather wind her way through the same problems again and again instead of trying to fix them. Stubborn, that's all I have to say.

    It's not really a happy expression, is it? No, it isn't.
