    Is this sentense correct

    Teachers,

I know this may sound a little stupid question to you but I'm a learner and trying to learn the language so pardon the silliness.

I want to know if this sentense is correct-

    "I got trained in Informatica"

whether the "got trained" can be used this way?

If I got a training in, let's say Informatica... should I say "I got trained" or "I trained in Informatica"

    Thanks in advance.

'I got trained' is accepted, but informal. I think it should be 'I was trained.'
    "I trained in Informatica"
