    tag question?I think/ You think/She thinks

    Hello, teachers:
    May I have your verification?
    I am confused about the structure of tag question,eespecially the sentences below.

    1. I think he will pass the exam , won't he?
    2. You think he will pass the exam, don't you?
    3. Jane thinks that he will pass the exam, won't she?

    I remember that rule says it depends on the main clause,however, I am a little confused about it.

    May I have your clariufication?

    With verbs like think following the pronoun I, the tag refers back not to the verb in the main clause, but to that in the subordinate clause - in this case will pass.
