    Present Tense Functions

    Hi , can i get some help correcting this?

    A sentence or statement can have many different functions. Look at the following list of functions and complete the next exercise:
    1. A general or scientific truth
    2. A routine
    3. A newspaper headline or reported event
    4. A habit
    5. A fact about the present
    6. A schedule or regularly occurring or predictable event (such as a timetable)
    7. Information about a person's ability
    8. A warning
    9. A threat
    10. A suggestion
    11. A promise

    Please look at the following sentences in the present simple and select the appropriate function


    1. Mark gets up at six every morning. A routine
    2. Water freezes at 0 Celsius. A general or scientific truth
    3. Julie smokes about 20 cigarettes a day. A habit
    4. The train to London leaves at 11.30. A schedule or regularly occurring or predictable event (such as a timetable)
    5. Mark doesn't speak fluent Japanese. Information about a person's ability
    6. Pope Visits War Zone. A newspaper headline or reported event
    7. Every Wednesday night we all play squash after work. A routine
    8. Squirrels hibernate in the winter. A general or scientific truth
    9. I'll give you 50 pence if you run down to the shop for me. A promise
