    I would like to know where and how is this idiom used.

    Many a mickel makes a muckel

    Mutton dressed as lamb

    Mutton dressed as lamb Look at the woman in the miniskirt - she really is mutton dressed as lamb [indicates that someone is trying to make her/himself appear younger than he/she really is.]
