    mystery noun (pl. -ies)
    1 [C] something that is difficult to understand or to explain: It is one of the great unsolved mysteries of this century. Their motives remain a mystery. Itís a complete mystery to me why they chose him.

    Can I say "unlocked" in place of "unsolved"?

    No, 'unlocked' means not locked. 'Unsolved' means not solved. They are very different. Look up the verbs 'to solve' and 'to lock' in a dictionary.
