    They bring the poverty, not the countries. The originals sounds like they packed up the countries in their suitcase and brought them somewhere. (Obviously an absurd notion, but there's nothing linking "brought" to the poverty in that sentence.)

    The never talk about the poverty that they create in these countries.

    Thank you. I see it now. The relative clause is ambiguous. It modifies one of two nouns:


    • They never talk about the poverty .. (that) they have brought. <the meaning you want>
    • They never talk about the poverty in the countries (that) they have brought. <the meaning you don't want>

    Suggested correction: move the modifying clause closer to its noun.
