It is correct to say "prepearing" an exam.

    Hi again,

I am studying for an International examination which I will take at the end of the year . I is correct to say " I am preparing and examination"?

    Thanks,
    Marisol.

Since you are going to take an examination, you are (preparing)(studying) for an examination.

'preparing an examination' means you are preparing some exam questions to give to your students as a (examination)(test) that they will take.
