    animate behaviour is ..

    The following sentences are discussing the false assumption about the robots in the future and can you please explain the underline sentences?

    The second assumption is to do with evolution. New evolution disposes us to stay alive by supporting that anything displaying aspects of animate behaviour is animate.

    Humans are predisposed to believe that something which is apparently an animate being [it moves, responds, seems to think] must be one, even if it is in fact a machine.

    Isaac Asimov wrote a number of stories about robots based around this concept and how it should be either used or removed..
