    hello!my question is..i want to know the difference between "i called you a couple of days ago" and "i had called you a couple of days ago"?
    and also i want to know if the second sentence is right in sense and meaning and according to correct grammar?????

    Without getting too technical, use the first sentence. Simple past tense-I (subject) called (verb).
