    Arrow Thanks

    Hi,

I have heard many variants of "Thank you ver much"

    Thanks a lot
    Thanks a ton
    Thanks a pile
    Thanks a bundle
    Thanks in abundance
and one more which I cant think of...

Now the questions is that are all of them accepted and to what extent?

Which will be most appropriate or its a matter of personal choice?

    Re: Thanks

I hear 'thanks a lot' and 'thanks a million' mostly. 'Thanks in abundance' sounds a bit strange to me as these are fairly colloquial expressions and it is a more formal word.

Expressions with "thanks" are usually more informal. So you have to understand the circumstance well, know who you are talking to, and decide from there.

Saying "thank you" or "thank you very much" is good for both formal and informal situations.

Here's a variation on "thank you very much": Thank you so much.

If you want to be more expressive, then you can speak more specifically, in a way.

After using any of the expressions of "thanks", you could say one of these:

... This has been a great help.
    ... I really appreciate it.
    ... I don't know what I would've done without your help.
... We had a really good time tonight.
... I appreciate you taking the time.
Thank you so very much. How did you know I liked pink ties with red stripes? I'll cherish it forever.

Here's one that's common, but I don't know if it gets a lot of use these days. We can never be sure if people really mean this: Oh, you shouldn't have! Thank you VERY MUCH!
