    definition and use

    Hello .. i need help to understand an idiom . it says "drop charges against". what´s its meaning and when can i use it ? could i have an example??

    It is used in connection with charges of criminal activity. If you drop charges against somebody you are saying you don't want them to be prosecuted criminally.
