    Question necessitate or need?

Hi, is there any difference in the verbs
    a-necessitate
    b-need
If so, could you give me some examples? Thanks.

Necessitate: to make something necessary or to cause something needed.

    • This is a family function which necessitates my presence being there.
    • Reduction in government spending will necessitate further cuts in public services.
Need; to want something very much:
    • I need your services badly.
    • I need to go to the toilet.
