    Got / Get

    What do these mean?
    1. You needed to tell them until they get it.
    2. You needed to tell them until they got it. (If 'got' is okay here, why? How come the tenses don't need to match?)

    3. You needed to teach him until he understood.
    4. You needed to teach him until he understands.

    There must be kind of mistake, I suppose. I woludn't use needed with get.
