    which is the correct answer?

what is the best choice (grammatically correct)
    1- I want to cut this. I need a scissors/a pair of scissors/scissors.
2- The trousers you bought me don't/doesn't fit me
3- fortunately the news isn't/aren't as bad as i expected. (maybe both are correct)

1- I want to cut this. I need a scissors/a pair of scissors/scissors. - Use "pair of scissors" or "scissors". You might hear "a scissors", with "pair of" understood, not spoken, but I think much less frequently. Use the last two.

2- The trousers you bought me don't/doesn't fit me - They don't fit me. The trousers don't fit me.

3- fortunately the news isn't/aren't as bad as i expected. (maybe both are correct) - News is not countable, so the it's only correct to use "isn't" here.
