    Not really sure what you're talking about. Is this a correction a teacher marked on your paper? I ask this because one common type of error that is sometimes referred to as "double past tense" is when someone attempts to use two past tense verbs in a sentence where only one is required. For example:

    What did you found? (X)
    Why did you went there? (X)
    Did you ate lunch? (X)


    ...and so on. This is a grammar error because only the verb did takes the past tense. It must be followed by a simple verb, not another past tense form.
