    Kindly advise with an appropriate explanation:-

    Can we use "few" or we should always add an article to the word few

    few - Without the article, "few" generally refers to a quantity that is not favorable - not enough.

    a few - With an article, "few" simply refers to a quantity.

    Very few people came to the meeting.

    A few people came to the meeting.

    Few people had any suggestions to offer.

    A few people offered some suggestions.
