    The last straw

As far as Alex was concerned this was the last straw and he vowed he would never risk money on a horse ever again.
Does this phrase mean 'the final decision' or 'the final occasion'?
    Thank you for help.

Hello, I give you a way to find the answer. Go to the internet (Cambridge dictionnary) and type the word 'straw' at the end of the list you will see what you are looking for.

    Have a nice day.

    Re: The last straw

The final/last straw (ALSO the straw that breaks the camel's back):
the last in a series of unpleasant events which finally makes you feel that you cannot continue to accept a bad situation - Cambridge Dictionaries.

It is useful. Thank you, the French.
