Is there any difference between "retail selling price" and "retail price"?
Do they mean exactly the same?
Yes, there is no difference. In fact the word 'selling' is not necessary, it is implied. In marketing a product, is subjected to 4 kinds of prices at different levels. These are: (1) Ex factory price or the basic price, the price at which it is sold/transferred to the stockist.(2) Whole sale price, the price at which it is sold the ditributor (3) Dealer/tetailer price (DP), price at which it is sold by the distributor to the retailer (4) Retail price or Maximum Reccommened Retail Price(MRSP)the maximum price at which it is ultimately sold to the customer, the retailer is at liberty to sell at reduced price by allowing a discount on MRSP. All are selling price but no where the word selling is used. Is is understood.
