    have moved ... moved!!!!

    Hi..
    I just want to ask :
    Why my friend told me : all my friends have moved to london.
    and didn't tell me: all my friends moved to london.

    Is it because he want to say a news?

    It could be recent or it's affecting him now- the present perfect connects it to present time.
