    What's going down?

    Teachers,

When it's used as a greeting expression, what does "What's going down?" mean?
Could it be some what similar to "What's happing?" or "What's up?/What's new?"

    Thank you.

It might well be, Bouji, but to me, it's kind of a dated expression, unless it's seen a revival. What context did you see it in?

    albeit,

    Thanks for your answer.
This expression must be a comeback, because I've heard it in young peoples conversations.

You're welcome, Bouji. You could well be right that this is seeing a revival.

    Urban Dictionary had this:

    1. what's going down
This means "what is up?" at that moment of time. It has a similar meaning as "what's happening?"

    Urban Dictionary: what's going down
