    How to Write Abbreviated Date

Can somebody please tell me the correct way to write a shortened date such as September 4 09?

Would you write September 4, '09
    September 4/09
    September 4/'09?

I posted this a while ago but I can't find it now. Thanks.

Unfortunately I don't have that option as I'm doing verbatim transcription.

As you have written it. If you want to confirm the last bit as the year, then a preceding slash is the sensible option.
