    Making or taking

    ..... notes in History lessons is like chasing a rabbit. The teacher is always ahead of me.

    Which one should I use, making or taking? I think it should be 'taking'. What do you think? What is the difference if any?

    You are right, it should be "taking", I'm not sure I've heard "making notes", at least, not in that context.

    To me, taking notes implies recording another person's words, whereas making notes signifies your own authorship.
