B Yes. I saw him last week.
We don't use the present perfect tense with a specified time (generally speaking).

I think if you changed your answer a little bit. Something like:
    B. Yes, I have seen him throughout last week.
    B. Yes, I have seen him almost everyday last week.
    B. Yes, I have seen him sometimes last week.

These are suggestions, I would appreciate a native speaker point of view on them.

    P.S.: Not a native speaker.

None of these works for me. It's "I saw him" in all cases.
The answer doesn't have to be in the same tense as the question. Otherwise, we'd have:
    A. Have you seen John recently?
    B. Yes, I have.
A: When? (... did you see him?)
B: (I saw him ...) Last week / all last week / a few times last week.

B cuts through to the last response because, pragmatically, he knows he is not merely being asked if he has seen John, but also when.

    Also possible from A:
A: Did you see John last week?
    B: Yes, I did - a few times.

    NOT possible from A:
A: Have you seen John last week?
