    Dare to try this?

    Dear Teachers

    Question: ...........................?
Answer: Obama is the 44th President of the USA.

In order to get the above answer, how should one make the question?. I don't think it appropriate to ask "Which president was Obama?

It would be a great help if you could give me some ways.

    Many thanks
    Udara

This is posted every few weeks (it seems), probably really only once a month.
There is no simple correct answer.
My solution is "Whichth president was Obama", but it hasn't received much support on previous outings.

    Dear Raymott
Thank you very much indeed for your suggestion.

Yes, what you have suggesteed seems perfectly all right to me; after all, as there isn't an interrogative pronoun to refer to ordinal numbers, why not coin a new word and start using it. Again, after all, it's a language, isn't it? and it ought to improve as time goes by, particularly when there's some obvious shortcomings.

I have been kind of interested in this point for some time and just wanted to check if thers's been any recent new developments to this point.

Great many thanks again for your contribution.

    Kind Regards
    Udara

    Re: Dare to try this?

I promised and I am here.

I have found out the correct answer. In fact I have two correct variants!

QUESTION: What number president is Barack Obama? or
What number is George Bush in the US Presidency?

ANSWER: Obama is the 44th President of the USA.

for further infrormation click here: WikiAnswers - What number president was eisenhower

    or

Pang-ilan presidente si George Bush? > What number president was George Bush?
