Question always do not know how and when to use the word "scenario"

    Hi,

I always do not know how and when to use the word "scenario".

The following is one of the examples (from windows xp updates) I do not know:

Install this update to help strengthen authentication credentials in specific scenarios. After you install this item, you may have to restart your computer.
More information for this update can be found at Extended Protection for Authentication

    Thanks.

They could have used "cases". You will almost never need to use the word "scenario".
