We don't do people's assignments. We will happily discuss things, but we aren't simply going to hand out answers to assignments.

Re: Wat is the error in he following sentence

    Dear Tdol,

This question is not an assignment for myself. I am preparing for gmat and and am unable to understand what is the error in the sentence mentioned earlier and mentioned below once again for your reference

(In 1527 King Henry VIII sought to have his marriage to Queen Catherine annulled so as to marry Anne Boleyn.)

The error that the book mentions is this: "so as to marry" is not correct;it does not identify who will marry.

But from my perspective the subject Henry is quite clearly understood. Thus shouldn't it be clear enough that Henry is the one who will marry?

Can you please share your views on this.

    Regards,
    Adnan

For what it's worth, I agree with you. You'd have to be a bonehead to miss the meaning...it's crystal clear.

I'm really not sure what the author is thinking here.

I agree. The author of the question is a bonehead.
In the exam, you'll have to change it to, "so he could marry".
