    Question "Igor" ?

    Hi there,

    Could anyone possibly tell me the meaning of the word "igor"? This might be the name of a film or animation...Thanks a lot...

    Igor is, I believe a Russian name. It has been used many times in American movies or television shows when they want to show a person who looks scary, or is acting in a manner which would be to frighten people.

    Thanks a lot...and, as far as I've got it refers to a "hunchbacked guy"...maybe...

    Exactly, it is used to refer to someone not as "pleasant looking" as the norm, perhaps someone who has a physical disability. It is a derogatory term when used in that manner.

    Igor Stravinsky was a well known and well respected Russian composer.

    In several films of "Frankenstein", Igor was Frankenstein's assistant who found the body parts for the monster.
