    Are there any rules on using "according to"?

    Is it sound alright if I write something like this following sentence.
    According to Miller in Today and tomorrow cited in Economic,...............

    The phrase is correctly used, but you're forgetting the conventions about titles: in "Today and tomorrow" cited in The Economist... or some other publication, not just Economic, which is an incomplete title.
