present continous : we have a report coming in now ?

Is this written in the present continous tense : "We have a report coming in now" ? Or can the present continous tense only be used with the verb "to be" ?

I think this is the simple present of the verb "to have."

I don't think this is a present continuous tense.

Yes, Ann1977 is right. Present continuous is only formed with the help of verb "to be" (is, am, are). You can express the same thing using an adjective clause in present continuous, as:
We have a report that is coming in now

And what kind of word is "coming", in a grammatical way ?

It is a verb being the present participle form of the verb 'come'
