Wink In or On the moving Lift

    Hi,

Which is more appropriate and why (while travelling in a lift)?

I am in the moving lift.

I am on the moving lift.

I am inside the moving lift.

    Thanks

I am on the moving lift. (on the surface of the lift, it can be top or bottom which is meaningless)

I am inside the moving lift.(Same meaning as in)

    Thanks
"I am in the moving lift." is the most appropriate. It means you are inside the lift while heading for your room/office upstaires. If the lift stops moving, you say: I was trapped in (not on) the lift,
