What is the sense of talking like that?

    Hello.

What is the sense of talking like that?

Can I say "point" in place of sense?
What's the point of talking like that? In other words, talking like that is nonsense, isn't?

    Thank you.

Yes, there isn't much difference between those two words, but I don't think "nonsense" is the exact meaning.

One says that "talking like that" is "senseless;" the other says it's "pointless."

It isn't exactly "nonsense" (foolish, gibberish, meaningless), but rather "futile, hopeless."
