Could someone please correct this sentence?

    1. I waited for half an hour for a taxi, but none stopped. So I came with X.

I waited for half an hour to fetch a taxi, but none of them stopped on my call. So I came by X.

Your sentence has no real mistakes.

You don't need the first "for".
You have the other choices I added.
You can combine it all into one sentence by using a semicolon before 'so'.
