    Call on and Look in

    Let's .................... Paul and Jan tonight.It's been ages since we last saw them.

    I can't stop now but I'll ..................... later on my way home from work.


    Where to use call on and look in?

    Both have identical meaning, that is: to visit some one for a short time but ‘look in’ is specifically used when you are on your way somewhere else

    your explanation is very clear, but I would like to know if these both groups of words (Let's call and look in) are what English call prasal verbs?

    These are from a vocabulury test and, I couldn't decide which is call on, which is look in.
