    how long + future tense

Hello, I am just translating a sentence from my native language literally and I'm not sure if that sentence can exist in English. Can I say:

1/ How long will we have to wait?

2/ You will have to wait for about 20 minutes.

I'm not sure if I can use present tense in that case. Because I learned after how long we should use present perfect.

    thanks a lot.

1/ How long will we have to wait?

2/ You will have to wait for about 20 minutes.

Both of these are correct. You could also say "How long do we have to wait?" "You have to wait about 20 minutes."

It is not necessary to use present perfect after "how long" in all circumstances, for example; "How long is it?" "About two metres." or "How long is the film?" "About two hours."
