    Gerund or Infinitive

    Dear teachers,

Would you be kind enough to share with me your choice concerning the usage of the following sentences?

1.1. It’s dangerous to do such things.
1.2. Doing such things is dangerous.
2.1. It may cause stomach trouble to eat too much.
2.2. Eating too much may cause stomach trouble.
3.1. Taking this medicine won’t help very much.
3.2. It won’t be much use taking this medicine.

    Thank you for your efforts.

    Re: Gerund or Infinitive

The only pair where I have a strong preference is the second, where 2.2 seems a lot better than 2.1.

At least that is my initial reaction.
