    meaning

    Hi,

Could you please tell me what "lacking chickens" mean in the following sentence:

The producer undertakes to keep valid producer's records indicating daily cases of death, lacking chickens, use of feed and other occurrences on the farm.

Does it mean that the chickens are missing or that they don't have the required properties, such as weight etc.?

    Thanks a lot!

It looks like it probably means "missing", if that is the case then that is the word I would use and not "lacking".
