    Look who's talking!

    Hello.

Mary: Peggy shouldn't smoke so much.
    Bob: Look who's talking!

Do you say "You're one to talk" or "You should talk" to mean "Look who's talking"?

    Thank you.

It's possible to say "Look who's talking" in this way. I wouldn't say "You're one to talk" is a good replacement for "Look who's talking".

Thanks a lot, PROESL. Are there any occasions where you say "You're one to talk" or "You should talk"?

One would say "you should talk" to discredit someone who is being critical of another person for doing the same thing that he or she is being critical of. Saying "you should talk" wouldn't be taken as something very offensive. It would be a "minor discrediting".

I can't think of a way, at least now, that one would use "you're one to talk".
