    For some reason, either physical or emotional, you were in a moment of weakness when he saw your, or encountered you = caught you.

    Perhaps you are on a diet, but starving between meals. He offered you an ice cream cone. He caught you in a moment of weakness (as opposed to a moment of resolve, for example, when you would have found it easier to refuse the offer).

    Or your love life has just collapsed. Your lover of 10 years has just run off with your best friend, and took your life savings and the cat with them. And then "He" shows up, the UPS Delivery Man you've always wanted to hire to clean your pool. He offers you his shoulder to cry on. He caught you in a moment of weakness.
