Exclamation Stuck Up, Called Up, Stand Up

    Hi,

I am stuck up in traffic.

    I called up John.

I am standing up on the roof of the building.

    Are these constructions grammatically appropriate?
    Do native speakers use them?

    Thanks

I would say that the first example is not natural, we would say "I am stuck in traffic", the others are fine.

But then in all the 3 constructions, the usage of "UP" is useless..
