    Comparing a and b , a is....
    Comparing a with b , a is....
    compared with b, a is....

    are they all correct grammatically?

    It depends on the function domain, to which space belong a and b?

    Well, I think all the three sentences are grammatically correct - but once more I would like to read a native speaker's point of view.
