Post asking about the usage of the word 'responsibility'

    Dear teacher,

'If I want to keep a pet at home, my mom expects me to show responsibility with/for it, by maybe feeding it, giving it water, making sure it's comfortable...'

Which one is better to use here, with or for? Do they any differences in meaning?

If I am to receive a weekly sum of money from my parents, they first expect me to prove that I can be responsible with it.

    I hope this is helpful,
